Need help with faster leveling (possible spoilers)

Okay, first off, hello to all, this is my first time visiting the forums for this game, so yeah, hai! :3

To get right to the point, I am lvl 47 and trying really hard to figure out how to maximize the speed in which I am leveling up, I was told that I could lvl up from like 46 to 50 in just a few hours, since im lvl 47 now, that will obviously be shorter, but what I cannot figure out is HOW, so could someone, anyone, please tell me in depth what to do please? I am on the lvl 44 Story quest Eyes on the Empire if that helps

Keep doing story quests, they give lots of EXP.
Run your daily leveling roulette, once/day will give the bonus and it's a HUGE bonus so...make sure to do it.
If you get to the dead-level area with not many story quests, run dungeons (the highest level you have unlocked, so try and go unlock Dzemael Darkhold or Aurum Vale which give good EXP).
Do your hunting log, too, if you haven't been.

If you have some downtime between dungeons, which as a WHM you shouldn't have much of, do FATEs or sidequests, whichever you think is more fun.

Aurum Vale, around 350K exp with buffs on per run full clear. so yeah you can reach 50 very fast.

If you are not yet there, remember to finish your bestiary and run Dzemael full clear, run levelling roulette provided you have unlocked the dungeons required for it and you should be there pretty fast and move forward in the MSQ they give a dam load of exp.

MSQ is main story quest. if memory serves, didnt you ask in novice chat why people werent doing fates like 4 hours ago? when the server dies down on activity?

Do Aurum Vale until you hit 60.

It is possible to close that gap in a few hours by doing Fates in Northern Thanalan or Dzamael/Aurum but I would really not suggest this for your first class. You're gonna do this many times over to level your other classes down the road. I'd suggest just following your MSQ and enjoy the game at your own pace, there's no reason to rush it. You can always benefit from using food while you are looking at an extensive time of killing things since they give a +3% exp buff. Might not sound much but it builds up. Also make sure you log off or afk in areas branded as sanctuaries(pretty much anywhere close to an Aetheryte) so you get the rested exp bonus.

As for the buffs mentioned above I'm assuming that is referring to the Free Company buff, Heat of Battle, which also offers an exp bonus from anything killed as well as the food buff.

If you're in a free company, they can activate Heat of Battle which increases your exp for battle classes. You can also use food which gives a 3% bonus. Any food will do.

When she talks about the Bestiary, she's most likely referring to the hunting log.

MSQ is short for Main Story Quest.
