You can manage to get a map on the very first node. It's RNG.

it doesnt need to be changed. sometimes it can appear on the first attempt, and other times it can be a few minutes. It is just fine the way it is.

But, I can usually get it within 10 minutes, and I'm never just going after the map (usually sitting in queue for something as well, waiting for someone to get online for raid, chatting with people, waiting for the PF to fill, etc)

EDIT: While I mine for my map (right outside the Gordias entrance), I believe fishing is the fastest route. But, I don't know the optimal fishing hole for it :\

no its not fine the way it is they need to increase it that way more people would get it daily. it takes to long sometimes

I believe there is also a timer on the maps as well so you can't just farm them all in one day but you are guaranteed to get one.
