It seems as though my offers of encouragement and potentially specific advice hit a nerve. For that I'm sincerely sorry. That said, it is your decision to improve or not improve. I promise you will get used to keeping WM on more and more the more you practice. But why would you recommend to a player who wants to improve and is asking for help with using WM to forgo using entirely on entire encounters? No matter how you slice it, the truth is when you drop WM you are doing less damage, so advising to keep it off is simply bad advice. Better to say "if you feel overwhelmed, turn it off for a bit but don't forget to turn it back on and continue working at it."
