    Monk Full DPS Burst Openings

    Monk Full Burst Opener (testing)
I still can't decide if adding Tornado Kick into my opener would be a DPS loss if I were to open this way as a MNK.

Here is what I am doing for Hummelfaust for example.

    (With base 2.38 seconds GCD)
@ The 3rd Greased Lightning Stack abilities executed in order:
    Internal Release
    Dragon Kick
    Blood for Blood
    Twin snakes
    Forbidden Chakra
    Elixer Field
    Howling Fist
    Steel Peak
    Tornado Kick
    Demolish
    Perfect Balance
    Snap Punch
    Snap Punch
    Demolish
    Twin Snakes
    Dragon Kick
*Form Shift + Dragon Kick (If the Dragon Kick does not land during Perfect Balance, Form Shift will allow skipping 3 whole GCDs to reapply the Drgn Kick Debuff)

This opener heavily relies on Internal Release. Forbidden Chakra, Elixer Field, Howling Fist, Steel Peak, and Tornado Kick are the most powerful attacks that Monks can use.
While Blood for Blood is active, all oGCD abilities must land for optimal damage.
Touch of Death would not be used, as this is a DPS loss during the opener.

Very Important: Coeurl Form must be ready before using Forbidden Chakra, Elixer Field, Howling Fist and Steel Peak.
This is because once Forbidden Chakra, Elixer Field, Howling Fist and Steel Peak, and Tornado Kick have been used, Demolish/Snap Punch will place you back at 1 stack GL, allowing a 6th action instead of 5 actions to be used while in Perfect Balance.
Depending on the timing of perfect balance, you will be allowed to reapply all MNK debuffs/dots/buffs and add True Strike as the Final blow in Perfect Balance.

I don't parse myself, but if anyone is willing to test this opener for me and post a log of a 1:00 minute DPS parse, that would be awesome

I can tell you without even trying this opener that using demolish 3 gcd's after using demolish is a terrible idea

You're probably right, i think when i first started doing a5s i was doing that before it hit me to just open with two demolishes followed by rockbreakers.

I can tell you without a doubt that building gl3 the normal way as opposed to getting it and keeping it with your first 3 gcds is going to be a loss. Tornado kick is just one 330(?) potency attack, and I think it's best to move away from the idea of thinking that one attack, even if fully buffed, is going to out weight the benefits of having a lot more attacks in while under gl3. If you aren't meeting the dps checks for hummel then consider using a parser to see who isn't pulling their weight. You'll want to consider saving some CDs for hummel to get him down quicker (this is ONLY if you can't meet the check, otherwise it's a loss). If you just want a higher parse for that faust fight then start using rockbreaker in your opener and using fully buffed aoe abilities on both the fausts and just make sure you aren't dropping your stacks with the transition to hummel. There are plenty of good monk openers out there and a lot are in the monk thread of this forum. But I haven't been convinced that there is a best one yet so i usually just tell monks to modify the one they like using the most. Just make sure that you get gl3 before you start using any buffs (IR/B4B) and make sure DK and TS are up before you use any of your damaging OGCD abilities. And watch for DoT cliipings, I noticed you reapplied demo only two gcds after putting it up. That's a big loss there.

Don't spend a GCD on Form Shift when you can otherwise attack a target. You will net more DPS in three non-DK GCDs than you will wasting one GCD on Form Shift to apply DK. The rule is similar for Meditate with the only reasonable exceptions being 4/5 stacks for TFC, or meditating between ticks in a TP emergency.

Apply ToD once in a 60s burst. It's your second-highest potency attack.

Unless you're doing PvP, reserve Tornado Kick for a finishing strike. Tornado Kick potency does not outweigh the unbuffed GCDs you'll spend rebuilding GL.
