HA! I hope those people have a lot of time on their hands cause they are gonna be waiting for the next ice age for that to happen :P
Its a cash shop item, SE wouldn't screw over all the people who already bought one or give out refunds, just because those who wont pony up (excuse the pun) argue that they want it for free..

I want a hamburger but Im not gonna go whine and complain to Burger King that just because Im hungry, it should be free...

That's the thing, it's not free! You're already paying a sub(and more if you employ additional retainers like many do). Using your Burger King example it's like having a monthly card for it that turns it into an all you can eat buffet EXCEPT for that juicy, delicious King Burger Deluxe!
I'm generally not anti cash shop, it's a useful way to get some things like past event rewards you missed but I have two complaints about it. A) If you're gonna give us "original" stuff there at least actually make them originals, not just reskins of things already in the game B) Some of the prices are ridiculous considering we're already paying for the game. If it were a F2P game where cash shop is it's only revenue sure, I get it, but here it's just extra income. Don't ask me to pay nearly a month's sub to get a stupid stuffed moogle or over a month's worth for a mount.
