I too would pay the same price, but for a Titan mount. I've always had a strong desire to mount Titan, and with the help of the Mog Station we can make my dream a reality!

Subjectivity aside, the reason is Because 1: The Mog Station was retooled to be a way for people to get event items they missed an items that were regional bonuses unavailable to the general public, and 2: because there exists a group of people that loathe the concept of a cash shop in this game and would rather it not as few "exclusive" items as possible.

Probably because it'd be a blatant middle finger to canon and very Mary Suish to ride aether leeches when we are supposed to be stopping them in the first place (Not to mention very angerous if Bismarch's Turbulence debuff is any indication)

They are saving those for Merchandising, Vet. Rewards or Collectors editions. The Shantotto minion hasn't even been in the cash shop despite preceding the Lightning event.

Those seem to be specifically Veteran rewards (or in one case, Gold Saucer prizes), though I think weapons are in limbo now.

They are likely gonna add minions and glamours based of past FF charatcers, an even if you're so lazy that you rather pay real money for them then farming the related content, some of them would be in an avenue that dosne't require more effort than resubbing.

The items added people have wanted for a while. I doubt summons will ever be mount for lore reasons.

Its a cash shop item, SE wouldn't screw over all the people who already bought one or give out refunds, just because those who wont pony up (excuse the pun) argue that they want it for free..

I want a hamburger but Im not gonna go whine and complain to Burger King that just because Im hungry, it should be free...

That's the thing, it's not free! You're already paying a sub(and more if you employ additional retainers like many do). Using your Burger King example it's like having a monthly card for it that turns it into an all you can eat buffet EXCEPT for that juicy, delicious King Burger Deluxe!
I'm generally not anti cash shop, it's a useful way to get some things like past event rewards you missed but I have two complaints about it. A) If you're gonna give us "original" stuff there at least actually make them originals, not just reskins of things already in the game B) Some of the prices are ridiculous considering we're already paying for the game. If it were a F2P game where cash shop is it's only revenue sure, I get it, but here it's just extra income. Don't ask me to pay nearly a month's sub to get a stupid stuffed moogle or over a month's worth for a mount.

No where in the ToS did it state that SE had to provide you with anything other than access to your character, and server space. That doesn't entitle you or anyone else to anything other than that. To use my hamburger analogy again... Just because I buy one hamburger at Burger King, doesn't mean I get another hamburger for free at any point down the road just because I wish it. Or if I pay for a plain burger, doesn't mean I should get all the toppings for free either....
We can argue the cash shop thing until the next century, but I think people need to come to terms with this... FFXIV is a service, nothing more. If you want add-ons (toppings) to that service, pony up!
