Selene is my favourite healer. Whenever she ends up healing an instance, she usually brings along an additional dps minion with her to help out. She doesn't take herself too seriously and doesn't give you sass for making mistakes, either. Very polite.

Prefer scholar for the extra dps.But generally i don't care what healer job i have in party as long as they stick to their number one priority which is keeping me alive so i can keep everyone else alive.

Good morning (here), everyone.

I'm not using this as a means to determine what job I play as. I'm playing the one I enjoy most. I'm only curious from a tank's perspective. As a tank, what healer do you prefer to have, if any? I'm sure some don't care as long as they do their job. At least that's what I think when I play my War or Drk.

Overall I don't have a preference. If anything it'd be a slight bias towards scholar since it's the healer I play the most, so I'd have a better idea of what he's doing, but that's about it.

As I mostly tank in leveling roulette, I prefer WHM and AST, because SCH can't use despell in most of the dungeons yet and none of the SCHs I met have Selene instead of Eos out (and even if they do, it's a 1 minute cooldown).

Any healer that can get the job done efficiently is okay with me; I don't have a preferred healer. Though, I found White Mages to be a tad bit better with bigger pulls in my opinion. All about whether the healer knows how to play their job correctly.

I prefer AST and the only reason for that is that I really prefer Regens over barriers when I'm in a 4 person dungeon, but unless the WHM is paying attention, they usually run in and start holying right away. Which is nice, but I like to play DRK, and all the stuns ruins my blood price + Abyssal drain combo. I mean, it's not detrimental but it's frustrating.

I love me an Astro that Spires me when I chain pull. Can a White mage or a SCH give me TP? NO. Can a SCH or WHM Boost Raid DPS During a heal heavy Phase? NO. Can a WHM or SCH Boost a Monk's Skill speed so much that they cause the Monk to break down in tears when their TP drains so fast they can never recover from it all while cackling maniacally over voice while they do it? Nope!

You can Abyssal Drain for several GCDs before activating BP to see if the WHM is going to spam Holy. If they are just wait for them to stop. I.E. pull all the things and if theres no Holy then pop BP and if there is Holy keep an eye on the stun and hit BP when they're locked. You can easily AoE at least enough to hold hate for that duration and then pop BP and... keep AoEing. Its actually more than likely a DPS gain for the DRK as well.

TLDR its not Abyssal Drain than you need to hold off on b/c of Holy, only Blood Price. And you can easily get 4-5 casts off (well over 6s duration of the stun, around 9-12s) before you need to worry about MP and by then you should be able to pop Blood Price no problem.

That being said I love AST in dungeons b/c cards and I don't even need to worry about that crap with Gravity and Gravity looks cooler :3

In raids, well, SCH obviously.
