Lastly, how much dps the WHM or DRK job can do individually is secondary. It isn't so much a question of who has better dps, but:
Will party dps be higher if WHM delays Holy for 15 seconds b/c of BP, or if DRK hold off on BP for ~6 second stun... Typically, its the latter.
Very valid points. All I meant to imply is that the longer into a pull a DRK waits to pop Blood Price typically the less their gains will be from it. As stuff starts dying off DRK takes less hits and BP begins to lose effectiveness. Is the DPS loss from holding your Holy Burst 15 secs greater or worse than than whatever DPS loss is incurred by generating less MP through BP? Idk. Maybe it is? Maybe it isn't? Maybe it depends on the pull variables? I am just skeptical that it is as black and white as some people are making it out to be is all.

Im not sure how else to begin testing the claim that WHM has "a lot higher" AoE burst potential than DRK? Damage calculations begin with potency so that is where I looked first. Maybe you can point in the right direction to some better math on this?
