For the love of all that is holy please stop late arrival loot ninjas...

So there's this frustrating phenomenon where because whatever reason a player has left the party and someone has the option of queuing for replenishment (even if the party at large has decided to do it a player down for less competition on the rolls) and behold at 10% hp or less Rando Mcderpwad drops in to the instance and for whatever reason without fail rolls a 99 on the item that most people in the party needed and didn't even help with the clear... Granted Rando should be awarded tomes but he should not get a roll if he zoned in during the time the fight was sealed if it clears, if it wipes by all means so long as he participates. Same rule should apply to afk or disconnected players, if you put forth no effort you're not entitled to a roll & really it's rude when these players do so but hey who really can blame them since they're given the option and dungeon etiquette and ethics being so loose in this game. It's not a call for elitism it's a call of fair return on investment.

except the leader has to press a button to confirm they want to refill the position of whoever left. If everyone decided to finish it with a man down, why did they press refill?

they always press refill without thinking one second why.

i remember a titan hm fight with a troll healer. we decided to kick him but he just came back (that was long before they fixed that), kicked again, we decided to try it with solo heal, kicked again, and again... i said they should stop pressing the searching for new people button - but they never did xD end of the story: one of the tanks left, switched to healer and rejoined while we have kicked the other healer again...

when i were 30 mins+ in duty finder until it pops for joining in progress, and then all i can do is watching how other people kill the boss with no chance on the loot i would be pissed. because i wasted 30 mins for nothing and have to wait another 30 mins+ in duty finder... at the same time i can understand it. if i did nothing to beat the boss i should not be able to get the loot. so all blame is on the party leader who pressed searching for new people without thinking why...

I agree that its annoying when people take things they havent really earned. Of course, its possible the 3 who killed the boss would have all passed on the roll and then no one gets the item that might have legitimately helped the late arrival. Personally i always pass on items i didnt contribute to(like if i crash in a dungeon and get back just as a boss is dying or a chest is opened), though ive also never seen anything i REALLY need in those situations either.

OMG this!! So annoying too. Wait 30+ mins for a que to pop, get an in-progress, and either they just finished or the whole group abandoned when the last guy left/was kicked, and you end up alone in someone elses dungeon and basically need to re-que and wait another 30+ mins(re-populating a full group sometimes isnt even possible as new arrivals see you alone and often leave without saying a word).

I'm in agreement with some from above. If you don't want someone to come in and roll, then don't replenish. Otherwise, that person who just joined has every right to roll on the loot too.

Well for 8 man you can choose not to replenish
but for 24 man.... any of the 3 leaders can choose to replenish
This means you might have 1 spot open in your group, but replenishing or not is not up to you...

I agree too. Besides no one forces you to queue into dungeon in session. If you really want quaranteed loot chances by all means wait for a fresh dungeon to start. Queuing in progress is a gamble to get a fast run for the daily bonus, if you got so fast run that you didn't even have time to take part into the fight, loosing the loot chance is a trade of for that.

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

You do not understand what OP means at all. He is not complaining about not getting loot, he is complaining that someone who joins for last few seconds can roll even without touching a single mob.

PS: From my point of view, I could not care less.

In my post, I said I agree (with the OP) and then explained my reasoning why his suggestion is fair one. That is to say, for reasons I mentioned I think it is fair that the late arrivals won't get loot. To my understanding that is in line with what he suggested?
