If you haven't already, get the Artisan's Set, which isn't too difficult to make nowadays. You may need to purchase a level 51 MH, but once you get by that threshold it gets much easier. Rapid Synthesis can be a real life saver if RNG doesn't hate you.

Getting the artisan set is a waste of time because it will last for one level or two
The best is level with GC turn in and basic craft (comp stacking is the best)
Once you reach 51 and 52 almost every craft are doable because you do not mose potency (and can forget ingeniosity)

And aim for the archeornis set which is far far better than the artisan even nq

It's fairly easy to get, and with the proper rotation you can actually make it stretch all the way to 55. The ilvl 70 Artisan set is actually quite good.

If you get any Artisan's gear from Quick Ventures, by all means, use it. If not, then don't waste the time or Gil trying to get the stuff. The stuff will last to 55+ when HQ and melded, but you really do not want to spend time or Gil melding the stuff at this point. The stuff to be HQ and melded is coming out in about a week - the 3.3 gear.

Forgot to mention I went the route of the level 51 archaeo left side stuff; it's far less expensive to make/acquire, at least on my server.

The archeornis stuff is pretty décent and now really cheap to do

And should last until 55 if you upgrade your tool accordingly.
The 55 will be your best friend after that
