I think it should just be a metal buckle like thing and you can create an elaborate crest and then pick between metal types, from gold down to bronze and all inbetween.

This way we dont have to look at lime green symbols on everyones gear. gross.

Or hopefully give me a toggle, at least, so I dont have to look at such heinous eyesores.
