someone on youtube actually said he did this in one on his videos. he was just doing like the first ul'dah leve you get from momodiI was solo grinding on some Drybone Shrew today, and I think I have figured out how to not get hit when they jump out of the ground. What I have noticed, if I move away from where I was standing when they dig under, then turn to face where I was standing, I never get hit. In fact, it seems they do not even use the ability on me. I took a video to demonstrate. Keep in mind I've only tried this on Drybone Shrew.

Yup, however, avoiding moves seems to be one of the things where server lag really shows up. I notice a tad in regular combat, but not enough to make a fuss about it, however when trying to avoid moves like some of the TP abilities from the Zombie's you fight at the Hilati (might have spelled that wrong) camp.. It seems if you don't re-position immediately when they start their move, you'll still get hit. I seem to get about a 50% avoidance when I try to move. If they start their move while you have a weapon skill animation going off, don't even bother to move, they already got ya.

This. And the same with gnats, though that's usually easier to avoid, since you can see the moves coming as soon as they start teleporting. It's a good way to see how bad the lag is though.Yup, however, avoiding moves seems to be one of the things where server lag really shows up. Thanks god, we can avoid mob's AoE . Otherwise, mages would be very useless
It is why, my THM or CON is always positionned in the back of peists...
Positions means a lot actually in the current game..
So you're telling me I knew about something since closed beta that no one else ever knew!? You've got to be kidding me!
Yeah, this. No matter how far I run when I run, those hedgemoles' burrow cannot be dodged.

This reminds me of those days when ppl get hit by Puk's sommersault and died from it, when i told them that their attacks are frontal, just go beside/behind it when they start casting.

? All I did to avoid that attack was move away right when my targeting cursor disengaged from them. I found that out after I downed my 5th mob.
