Question about using characters in real life event.

My fiance and I met on FF14 2 years ago and we want to use some of Final Fantasy 14 in our wedding because that's how we met and fell in love, for example wanting to use our characters in our wedding cake toppers, but we were wondering if we have to ask for permission for that.

I imagine for personal use, it's perfectly okay to do. I've actually seen quite a few FFXIV-inspired craft items on Etsy (jewelry with job icons, car decals, etc) and those people seem to stay in business and out of trouble. There's also people who commission and create FFXIV cosplay costumes/props. I think as long as you aren't mass producing anything, I think you are okay.

As long as you aren't producing stuff with the intention to sell then it should all be perfectly fine as long as it is strictly for personal use.

If strictly for personal use, you can do whatever you like. Square Enix can only step in if someone were to try and make a profit off their models. So no need to worry. I think it's a pretty adorable idea btw
