Odd Question: Playing on NA/EU/Japan servers with a Chinese language client possible?

Now, I know there is a Chinese version of FFXIV. I also know that there is a Chinese data center that is separate from those of the rest of the world.

What I am hoping to find out is, for my Taiwanese girlfriend, would it be somehow possible to have a Chinese language client and still play on the Japanese servers (so she could potentially join me if she decides she likes the game)?

While she can read and speak both English and Japanese to some degree, I know she would be much more comfortable if she had a traditional Chinese client translation. In the event that this isn't possible would the reverse be? (playing on Chinese servers with an English language client? Do the Chinese servers even allow log in from Taiwan? There's a weird political situation here in that regard. >.>; )

Chinese client and servers are seperated from the global version and are running by a chinese company called Shanda Games. The client only connect to the FF XIV servers and accounts from Shanda Games.
And i doub SE will patch chinese language into their global version (they would do spain before that)

There are file differences between the NA/JP/EU, CH and KR versions of the game client. They aren't compatible with each other. (Or at least, not in any sense that would be acceptable in the Terms of Service). This is why they have different subscription models and server transfers are not feasible.
