I know that I'd love an NPC of a friend who passed away. Sadly, it'll never come to pass so I did the next best thing.

I basically redid a retainer in her image and name to honor her memory as best as I could and have her on the front lawn of my FC house.

It's just a thought, but that's all I can really suggest.

Another nice gesture if you're going to do what I suggested is perhaps put her retainer in the middle of a garden for her at your FC house, so that way it'll liven things up a bit and people can say "Hey" to her as you go about your day =)

You could also glamor her clothes to something she may have liked or favored.

You don't have to take my advice or anything. I just thought It'd be a nice touch =)

I think I'd just start bawling every time I went to the FC House and the Garden. But yeah, it'd be very nice to make a NPC related to hunting in 4.0 if its at all possible. She loved spawning Brontes and King Behemoth especially, and was always out there to help the server every spawn.

I'd like to thank everyone for the kind words, prayers and suggestions. It meant a lot to myself and those closest to her. Even if she isn't immortalized in game forever, at least many people that didn't have the lucky opportunity to know her got to read about how great of a person she was, and just how great she was for this game we all love. I'll admit with her gone Final Fantasy XIV has changed forever and I don't think it'll ever be the same again for many. Regardless, this was something I had to try for, because to do nothing at all was eating me up inside and she deserved this and much more. Thanks ^-^

Apple, I was moved by your youtube video so very much. I never met Yuki, but I felt so touched by what you wrote and the video, I felt I also had to help in some way. I hope you don't mind, but I added her FFXIV profile to my Character Profile comment section, plus both links to your youtube and this forum tribute. The reason your video grabbed me so, was because it just shows how much connection we can make with others while playing these types of games. The friendships that blossom, and the creation of fond memories are not just limited to face to face iterations. Yuki is not gone, because people like you and all the ones she knew, will never forget her. I for one may not have met her, but because you did, and shared so much, I feel like I know her now too.
