That is going to make me hate them even more. I loathed the 2.0 quests with the Ixali and now cringe when I see them. LOL this was supposed to make us like moogles again? wat?

I thought they hinted V materia wouldn't come from tribes.

Tbh, I think Aquapolis will be the new gateway to V materia. Think about it cus maps will soon be locked daily n all those people who don't bother with gathering will be crying.

I doubt the Aquapolis will be the gateway to V materia:

• The live letter already showed that players will be able to earn grade V materia through the moogle beast tribe
• The unofficial translation mentioned something about grade V materia as rewards from a few main story quests.

There's no way they'll do that. They might put G4 crafter and gatherer materia there, but they're not gonna hand out V's like candy, even for the highest rank ones.

But it's true that I might burn or kill one or two fluffy moogle to craft...

Yesterday's letter from the producer said Tier V materia, hopefully it's DoL/DoH, and given with the daily quests instead of a one-time on rank up quests.

Similar to the Ixal quests, these new quests will be crafting-focused quests. They will be quests that you can level from 50 to 60, and you’ll get the materials during the quests. If you’ve already reached level 60, you will be able to earn grade V materia. There will be story developments where a master who learned crafts from Ishgard talks about player memories.

You can use the new dungeon as stress relief

I will be already happy with crafter materia of any grade
I just wish the Ixals would give crafters materias
