any hardcore player will have all 50's on Disiplines of war and magic and this game has a lot of hardcores on it lol. lnc was never few its always been a fan fav.. LNC and ARC. same with GLA and MRD and THM. the few is PGL's since most players that play it dont gear the best but the ones that do use it right are badass's like Nawty Sin on Saronia she's a PGL beast!

I think each class has its place in the ifrit fight. Archer could avoid EVERY attack if they are good enough. They still do good damage, ya not as much as lancer on a single target. But they have great AOE skills(not really helpful against ifrit). I think every class has their place in the game, I just hate how everyone is like "LANCER ONRY OR GTFO" It's like.... you never even LIKED lancer before, now you're a lancer junky. They don't need to nerf lancer, they just have to adjust the fight a bit. My pug friend can do just as much dmg as I on the fight. He aslo can take a hit better as well. Again every class has its place, it's just how you use them.

"Original" dosen't carry much weight in an MMO. Though if you stick with it after it stops being a flavor of the month, you'll keep the identity you like.

But that doesn't have to be the result of a nerf or a buff so much as introduction of more content. Not every class is going to shine in every fight, Lancer does with Ifrit. That might not be true with Ifrit, Garuda (which I expect will require some ranged classes to work with. I imagine her being able to fly out of attack range for a period of time, which Ranger will do well with.)

This is just sort of one of the phases the game goes through. Though I doubt the popularity of Lancer is going to wane much untill other jobs are introduced. Dragon is popular just based on aesthetics. We'll see how the mechanics work with it later. But until the classes and jobs flush out, the choices are sort of limited.

I for one am tired of EVERYONE leveling lancer now because its "helpful" in the Ifrit fight. We used to be one in a few, now that is gone! Very disappoint in this. THUMBS UP IF YOUR WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!

Syn? conj is like level 12 >.> i only have cure 1, thm is level 30(my second highest class) Please look at my class levels again ^.^. I've been lancer since beta. I have no interest in leveling classes I don't like playing.

I was a Lancer all the way back in beta, and I tried it out because I never played as that type of class. I fell in love with it in beta and have been playing solid as one since the Collector's Edition. Hell, I didn't even know it was the best DD right now, lol.

This is a bit silly. If you were one of the original lancers you should have all classes to 50 by now.
