What other ways could they do this? They are already part of most things ingame and are fairly easy to get.

I'm still peeved they didn't let us get them from Diadem... Randomly getting them in chests, being able to exchange Spoils for them... I mean, Diadem sucks as it is, but if it was the way to farm Unidentified items? At least it wouldn't be dead...

Yes yes, the crafted items are made from Diadem, but that's exactly why they are retaining their value... Diadem is dead, if you want to go in there to farm the crafting materials you need a Free Company Airship at this point... Having Diadem as a solid means to farm Unidentified items might at least revive queues and reduce the price of those materials somewhat... They still need to seriously adjust Diadem to actually make it a proper event instead of some lame Hunts zone, but given they didn't seem to mention it in the Live Letter, I'm guessing Diadem has gone the way of Secure and Slaughter... A shame, it had a lot of potential...

I totally forgot about Diadem! Yes Diadem should be used for the items in some way and not just the crafting items. Would have been cool if bones and shells were from mobs and seeds and ore could have been gathered.

30 Steel Sky Pirate Spoils for bones and 30 Brass Sky Pirate Spoils for shells, so the players don't have finished it within some grind days. And people would go longer to the Diadem.

You do realise there was a lot of ways you could get Unidentified objects right? You can buy them with Esos, Poetics, and Allied Seals and get them from doing Beast tribe dailies. Infact I think the only content which didn't at least over some way of contributing towards getting the Unidentified objects was PvP and the Gold Saucer. I have two maxed out Animas and I haven't touched Gordias since prior to the Anima weapon's launch.

Infact I think the only content which didn't at least over some way of contributing towards getting the Unidentified objects was PvP and the Gold Saucer. People want things done *now*, and running Gordias was the fastest way to get the items once that was introduced (except when hunts are up, but then you do Gordias between hunts for maximum profit)

That's why people who won't/can't do speed runs are abused; people need things done ASAP and anyone holding them back is nothing but trash to them

Its a sad state of affairs but its unfortunately how some people approach mmo's and nothing we could ever say will change their mindset.

This is there own fault then, it their choice to do the "quickest" way. It like stuffing a spoonful of hot food in their mouth and then complaining that it too hot and burned themselves.

The Japanese name for the minion was "Mammet Dragonet," which will likely be localized as "Wind-Up Dragonet." The model looked to be based on Dragoons' pet baby wyverns from Final Fantasy XI, but Kal Myhk does look similar.
