Fishing jigs and latest updates

So I can go literally weeks without a fish stealing my precious jigs. I fish everyday and its so rare my line snaps that the sound effect startles me and I look around to see if I am getting agro from something or if someone is behind me emoting.

But since the latest update I have lost over 10 jigs in 2 days just on my main. My alt and my roomie are having the problem too, which he never had before. It's like they gave the fish super strength.

Anyone else? Is this a new bug?

I have never been able to go weeks without fish stealing my jig so maybe y'all had great RNG! Idk what to say but I would lose them frequenly enough that I found them annoying to make.

I don't think I've lost any in HW at all! Mind you, most of my fishing is using consumable tackle but I genuinely don't think I've lost a piece of 'hard' tackle outside of ARR areas... Yet. *queue multiple losses*. XD

you can only lose the crafted / steel bait. the fishing line will never tear up if you use the natural / consumable bait.

also the chance to lose the bait is way higher when you don't have a 100% catch-rate on the fish. many of the HW fishes don't have a 100% chance. you will also lose many baits if you use patience but don't use the correct hookset for the catch.
