DRK. Returning Player: Need some updates please

I took a break and didnt play since the end of december.

Just got back and the whole world is madness. Joking.

Could some fellow DRK update me on status needed for us? When I quit we were using mostly full slaying accessories for A1S (swaping to fending to find that perfect balance). Now, with A6S and all the updates is that still the way to go? How is raiding atm for us?

Drk/War is the preferred set up right now with Drks as the MT they're in a really good spot with the dmg they bring and being able to resist magic A6S/A8S is pretty good for Drks.

Right now for gear you want full fending with Str in your accessories then if you have pentamelds going for Crit > Det > Sks in that order and gearing in that way as well.

We no longer have to fight melee DPS for accessories which is nice.

Dark Arts has a 3 sec CD down from 5 seconds, parry is still really bad, and we need all the HP we can get as everything hits really really hard now (in Midas anyways).

Stance dancing is still a thing but since our AP has been cut from full slaying getting used to it will take you a bit once you get gear you'll be hitting for almost the same before the VIT change.

All in all Drk is great hasn't been undervalued as a tank yet in this xpac.

All Fending all the time now. VIT > STR. But you can meld STR to Fending to get some extra juice.

Just another input, it'd be a great asset if you can do both DRK/PLD setup for MT position. Some floors favour PLD and some favour DRK. The general consensus though is that PLD is easier to do in Midas Savage granted if you have a Monk with you, with HG + Divine Veil. So if you don't have a Monk, DRK is 100% better to use. Delirium/Dragon Kick is a huge must to have if you want to progress quickly, especially in A8S. All in all, DRK/PLD can tank whatever, just different kits to counter physical/magical more.
