Beastmaster Job/Blue Mage Hybrid Class Suggestion Part One

I worked countless days and hours and even weeks watching videos about mage jobs and so for these jobs there is going to be a lot of jobs in the way of blue magic. I have found a way how blue magic can work in this game without completely breaking it, however, blue magic isn't going to be as powerful and some people would be disappointed as the same when the summoner was made. So let's get started.

The first two are starter jobs and players can play them at level 1. All jobs will get a third bar of cross-class abilities, so no one will be left out as well old as abilities getting checked and revamped.

    The Seer

Dual wields tomahawks like axes or sickles. Seers are found in a new area called Cosmo Canyon. Cosmo Canyon is near Ala Mhigo where insurgents are trying to get their land back. They also are coupled since birth with their life long pets which they consider brothers. They are red Xiii tiger lookalikes. This is a FF VII look alike.

    Part Two

    Passives
Beast Killer - 20+ potency to skills and auto attacks when attacking monsters from the beast family.

Tribal Markings – Killing monsters will sometimes drop feathers or ornaments that you can put on your tiger’s headdress to allow it to use certain monster like abilities.

Bug Killer – Add 20 potency to your skills and auto attacks when attacking monsters from the insect family.

Elemental Fusion 1– This increases the power of your thunder, air and earth enchantment spells by 20 potency and gives you an additional Fury stack.
Void Sent Killer – Adds 20 potency to skills and auto attacks when attacking void sent and undead monsters.

Elemental Fusion 2 – Increases the power of your water, Ice, fire enchantment spells by 20 potency and gives you an additional fury stat.
Master Hunter – Increases your crit rate by 20% by attacking monsters that you have a passive killer stat to.

    Part Three

Construct Slayer – Increases the potency of your skill and attacks by 20 potency when attacking monsters from the Construct family.

Elemental Fusion 3 – Adds an additional 20 potency to all elemental enchantments and gives you an additional fusion stacks making it a max five.

Dragonslayer ¬– Deals 20 potency when attacking any monster from the Dragon family

Elemental Mastery - Every time your character strikes a critical hit, you gain a fury stack.

    Seer’s Pet

The Seers’ pet is different than the Summoners’. It has a very intelligent AI. It needs to because the player has no control over the abilities it uses or how it uses them. The way it works is your pet has equipment called a head dress. This has three slots for feathers, hair ornaments and dream catchers. When you kill a monster, they have a high chance of dropping these ornaments. These ornaments enable your pet to randomly use the skills of the monster.

    Part Four

Elemental Fusion 2 – Increases the power of your water, Ice, fire enchantment spells by 20 potency and gives you an additional fury stat.
Master Hunter – Increases your crit rate by 20% by attacking monsters that you have a passive killer stat to.

This has a very similar feel to the very unpopular Puppet Master from Xi which wasn’t that powerful.

Seer’s Pet Toy Box – If your character is a Seer you automatically get this feature. In every inn or even in your room there will be a place where you can store all your ornaments that you have found in your journeys.

Pet Role – Your pet’s role can be either dps, healer or tank. The only difference is that you have no control over when they use these abilities. They are not like the Summoner or Scholar where you can macro their abilities.

Pet Ornament/Feather effects. You also gain stat and behavior changes depending on the abilities you gain. Ornaments and feathers give stat improvements to your pet and as well changing the AI how it changes in groups.
One last thing – You do get to tell your pet to attack or defend or heal, but you do not get to tell them what abilities they use.

    Abilities –

Level One – Storm Strike. You strike the target twice with both axes dealing 40 potency x2 attack and gives 1 fury when finishing combo with thunderstruck

Level Three – Enthunder. Your attacks gain additional 20 Potency and skills and gain additional 10% critical chance. This stays active but drains mp slowly. This is also crossed classed with other meleed dps.

Level Five – Tribal Strike. Combos deal 60 Potency of damage x2. Combo bonus increased nearby allies attack damaged by 10% for 10 Seconds.

Level Seven - Enstone. You or your allie’s defence gains 20% bonus and gain Emnity plus 10% al skills and abilities. This is crossed classed with other tank jobs like dark knight, paladin. It doesn’t help much but does a little.

Level 11 – Mend. This is a pet heal that only effects your pet and no one else. Heals your pet for 300 potency over 15 seconds,

Level 15 – Job class job quest. Thunderstruck this is a spell that strikes the target with lightning. This is an instant cast spell but has a cooldown of 150 potency and the damage is based on strength. It also gives you one Fury stack.

Level 18 Enwater – Increases healing effects and supportive effects by 20 potency and reduces the cost of spells by 10% for 10 seconds.

Level 21 – Thunder Hawk – When using Thunder Hawk you go into fury mode. And every attack puts you into an avatar of thunder and lightning. Your melee attacks now become ranged. Thunder Hawk deals 80 potency x2 and you throw your axes like electric boomerangs that can paralyze the target for 10%.

Level 24 – Enaero – You have a 20% chance to use your auto attacks and skills to perform twice. You also gain a 20% movement speed for 20%. This is shared with all classes and jobs.

Level 25 – Enfire – Your spells deal an additional 40 Potency and shortens the cast time of spells by 0.5 for 10 Seconds. This is shared with black mage and summoner.

Level 28 - Enice – You deal and additional 20 potency attack and skill and had a 40% slow for 20 seconds.

Level 30 - Beastmastery – Warcry. This has a big cooldown. When you use it, everyone in the party gets an attack speed, movement speed and skill potency buff for 30%.

Beastmaster – When your character reaches 30 you get the job crystal of beastmastery.

    Beastmastery Skills

Enwatera – Same effect as number one but becomes a group effect. You can only have one of these effects up at the same time.

Enfira – Same effect as number one but becomes a group effect. You can only have one of these effects at one time.

Enstona – This only effects you, your pet, or the tank in your party. Increases total health pool by 20%, defense by 40% and the amount of enmity by 20% percent. For 20 seconds.

Enaeroa – The same as aero except that it effects the whole party.

Phoenix Strike - Deals an 80 potency x2 cost fury to use and combos with Thunderhawk requires you to be in fury mode. You throw two flaming flaming birds at the target that swoop in and attack and come back to you. While this attack requires you to be in fury mode combo effect, nearby targets gain Tp by 3% of the damage that this does.

Enicera – Groups enicera effect to everyone in the party.

Enthundra - Everyone in the party gains 20 Potency per attack or skill use and gain a 20% crit chance increase.

Fenrir’s Howl – Combos on Phoenix Strike. Strikes the target four times in a row, each doing 40 potency each. Consumes fury mode upon use. Also nearby targets are healed by 3% of the damage this spell does.

This is a rough draft and it needs a lot of fine tuning, but I am sure that it can fit in FFIV and make a nice buffer Beastmaster/Bluemage hybrid class
The pet is supposed to supply your primary source of healing, support or damage or whatever role you wish your pet to take, but please note that it is limited to 3 times and they do not function like a monster would in the wild.

If you can, you can edit your post and put all this info in post #1. I can't see this Job with Enspells. That feels more like a RDM or FCN kind of thing. Feathers dropping from mobs would never work. Maybe in the form of a proc, I can see it happen.

I've already touched on the subject with a few, and made a forum post about it, but blu and bst would both have to be added in a way that a lot of people might not approve of...I used the glamour system as a reference point that most people would be able to understand but it'd basically be the same in coding it for the game...you take blu and add in a bunch of base monster spells, or take bst and give them certain base pets. Then, you take the glamour system and make it where you lay over a new spell or bst pet. So an example is starting off with bomb toss on blu and you go out to learn thunderbolt, then you use that system to lay thunderbolt over bomb toss, so now you see the animation for thunderbolt but it still does the same potency of the original bomb toss. Of course you'd only be able to lay AoE spells over AoE's and single target over single target, heals over heals. For bst you can just use base types of pets, dps and tank for example and let you lay other monsters over the original base.

to be honest i think beast master and blue mage could use the same weapon but go a different path. They start with the whip. the blue mage could more Quistis Trepe
    style blue mage.

blue mage and beast master could start simalar to summoner and scholar.

tamer could be start class it branch off in two different paths blue mage path 1 path 2 beast master

there quite few blue mage spell already in ffxiv under different names.
for example blue mage use spell like frog which turn an monster in to frog Pond's Chorus
    doom
    death
toy hammer simalar in appearance to magic hammer but different magic hammer halves mp.
    1000 Needles
    Bad Breath
    Goblin Rush
    Bomb Toss
    fire breath use by dragon.
    ice breath use by yetas.
one favorite only was ffxi was magic fruit look like strawberry

Regarding the "Killer" traits... does this game even have unique mob classifications? I mean they have their type name, but I don't think there's any form of unique stats behind them to warrant a balanced Killer trait. Like, the mob types are simply names, not any means of alerting the player that they have something unique behind them. Elementals don't have exceptionally high physical defense, for example. Given how balance is often done in this game, it wouldn't be very surprising to see that additional potency be met with some form reduction in another. Bug killer giving 20 potency more to that type, but there's also a diplomacy passive at some point that reduces potency against humanoid/beastmen targets but grants more reputation from quests or some bull like that.
