Got a quick question. Currently I own a small house, however, I would like to purchase a larger house when the new wards are introduced in patch 3.3.

The question I have is, can you buy another personal plot of land if you already own a house?

If not then I am guessing you would need to relinquish the original house prior to purchasing the new plot. If that is the case then I wish they would have implemented the move feature with this patch as well since now I would have to gamble giving up my first house to try to upgrade to a larger.

Let me know please. And no I do not want both houses. If I upgraded I would just relinquish the first

I heard they were implementing a move house feature... I don't recall if it was going to be implemented for this patch however...

Not this patch but down the road. That is why I am asking if you can have more than one plot for personal housing. If I cannot buy another plot, since I already own one, I will have to plan ahead and figure out something before patch 3.3. The move feature will be useless by the time it is implemented since all housing will be gone by then anyways. That is why it would have made more sense to bring it out the same time they added new wards if you cannot buy another plot of land if you already have one.

I just need to know if you have buy another plot of land if you already have one for personal housing? if you cannot I will have to plan accordingly

You can only own 1 personal house and 1 FC house per character. Unless SE changes something with the next patch, you'd have to relinquish your current house before buying a new house.

If you have more than one character then you could purchase a new home on an alt and then relinquish the small house should you prove successful, though even if this seems appealing to you it's important to note that your alt would be seen as the primary owner of the home, so even if you shared it with your main(which I really doubt is even possible), the only way to protect your home from auto-demolition is by logging in on your alt and entering said home every 45 days.

Though in hindsight that might mean you can't even decorate on your main either... hm....

If you can find a friend not seeking a home or who has an alt without a home, you could ask them to buy your old small plot from you for safekeeping. That way, with the 80% reclamation policy, you'd only lose up to 750k whether you get the new home or not and you'll have an insurance policy on your old home if luck doesn't shine your way.

Well, I guess what I will have to do is relinquish the house I have the night of the patch. I do not care about the money since I have plenty. I also plan to take that day off form work and probably stay up all night having to click the login button Just wish they would have introduced the move feature at the same time since adding it later does not make much sense since housing will be gone by then anyways. Guess I will have to wait and determine what I actually want to do.

I would suggest if you're going to relinquish the plot, do so more than a day ahead of time just to be sure you don't run into random problems (rare, but things happen from time to time). If there are issues you'll have a bit of time to troubleshoot and contact support beforehand.

There will be a 24 hour maintenance prior to the patch's launch on June 7th, something to keep in mind.
