Not everything they release that is stamped with Final Fantasy needs a celebration event. Especially a rerelease that is just ok. Sure I could see vii having one unfortunately, because vii is getting a whole new remake, but ix was just an ok port with some enhanced graphics and stripped of things that made it better, like its original font. They couldn't even be bothered to remake the backgrounds so the game looks even more odd.

They really should for 7 since everyone loves it because it was an awesome game.

Not everyone. I, along with many many others, feel it was the worst of the franchise, with its whiney emo protagonist and it's cry baby with mommy issues antagonist. I wanted them both to fall off a cliff. They story was just so so, the game was short and whatever good qualities they had were ruined with Cloud's annoying angst. Myself I feel VI was the best, others have other top pics, it's just that those vii fans are so loud ppl think its the top fan favorite.

from those two sentences alone I can tell you've not played it and you're basing Cloud on what you know from Advent Children because Cloud is not emo or whiney, does a whiney person say this? I've just destroyed your false claims with a single image.

And let's not forget how snarky and sarcastic he is throughout the entire game.
