Yeah no. As already stated it's way too close to Miqo'te, and on top of that I guarantee they'd have to alter the design enough to fit the gear we have. At the end of the day you'd just have a Hyur with bunny ears and slightly different facial features. You'd get more or less the same look if you got those bunny ears from the Gold Saucer.

No it's not too close to Miqo'te, Miqo'tes are Cat-Hyurs, which means the only thing that changes is the cat ears and tail, Viera actualy changes the body, more detailedly, the legs and feet, which makes them unique. If you saw how Fran from FF XII looked like, you wouldn't be saying that they are way too close to Miqo'te. Or just check the pictures from people that were posted here, they are not just another Hyur like race.

We both know that by the time they give us Vieras it will be just like miqo'te! They will change themto fit the gear so yeah... No thanks!

No, I don't think so. People can say all day that viera would be differen't that they'd be elezen proportioned with different legs and feet, but if that were the case we wouldn't have gotten cutesy au ra that are essentially miqo'te with a different tail, we would have gotten the succubus/demonic/whatever concept art they had. I'd much rather more customisation options to existing races (as others have said) than a copy/paste miqo'te.

Still on the nope train for this. Race with botox face, bunny ears, virtually unnoticeable longer limbs? I'll just delete my free fantasia that I have been holding on to for 3 years if thats what we get.

And don't you even dare say you would notice the "unique features" during gameplay beyond the ears because you wont notice slightly longer hands and feet unless you count standing around the market board.
If we were to get a race that required editing existing armors it would be far more worth it for an actually different and unique race such as the wolfman race linked earlier.

I'm with most people in this thread....i don't want Viera in the game period, I'll cast my vote for more character customization/options instead of a new race.

Although my reason for not wanting Viera in the game is....its just not appealing to me, i just don't find anything to write home about this race at all, we already have Miqos...and they are good enough as is, Am i the only one that doesn't like Viera at all? lol

Again they'd have to change the feet, and you'd still have a clone of a Hyur or miqote.
