    Why wasn't this always a thing period. I never understood XI's aversion to mounts and fast travel. I still remember waiting 10 minutes on an airship then another 10 on the ride just to get to an exp pt. And that doesn't even include the travel time to Jeuno.

    The sheer fact they added a shortcut to Whitegate back in the day was amazing enough lol

    Apparently being forced to walk everywhere for many minutes on end and waiting many minutes just for a boat is "immersion"

    Final Fantasy XI was a game meant for people with time on their hands and an overall slower paced game.
