Red/blue scripts

I would like to be able to share scripts withing gathering and crafting job chars. My fisher was able to catch HQ fish easily for her L58 blue script gear however, because you make craft classes utilize an item from another job before they can complete, I have found it too costly to get my Goldsmith her script gear. Not all of us can beg from guildies for craft items or can affort the scalper prices on the MB to make the collectable items for Rowena's. It is the same with the crafter high level leves. I end up doing the metal turn in over and over because my miner can get the metal easily but I cannot afford a 40k per item cost from an alch or other craft class everytime I want to do a different leve.

Easy for my miner and fisher, terrible for my GS...looks like bad design to me.

Easy solution. You have gartherers? Then gather and sell it and you can buy everything. Design is fine.

That aspect of the design is fine. The problem is that the devs gated end-game gear by making crafting materials insanely difficult to obtain, thereby making them expensive.
That is the bad design. The difficulty needs to lie in crafting the actual gear, not obtaining the raw materials.

I would change a bit galborion answer
You have gatherer then gather and craft yourself

Everything can be done by yourself

I was head Crafter in ARR but went to the same levels as the other once HW started
Had to rework everything to reach 60 then spat on the red script stuff which is mostly crap
And work hella more to gather and craft my own 2* stuff HQ and meld it

...

By the way hw leves are not good
Do not do them if it cost too much (which is the case in almost every Crafter except alc and cul)

The best way to level up is daily grand compagnies items
And make your own shit exp (all comp give exp once you craft them)

As Nekotee said, gather all the items yourself and make them yourself.

I made three sets of IL170 crafting gear by gathering all of the mats by myself except for griffin hides and bear fat. Everything else I didn't pay anything for.

Yea, it took a really long time, but I have lots of leftover mats I gathered while gathering the other stuff. I got over 1000 Hardsilver and Aurum Regis Sand when I was gathering other stuff.
So far, I've made 1,800,000 gil just from selling stuff I gathered aside from what I was actually aiming to get. (And I haven't even come close to selling everything yet.)

It took a few weeks of patience, but I still have lots of gathering scrips and crafting scrips leftover too.

Beside...
When you look at how much comp you get with the favor/script in one week compare to the red script stuff
You can see how much worth it is

Like... one week of red script allow you to craft more or less 6 to 7 piece ilevel 170 (depending of which comp you need)
When red script stuff is 1 little piece for a week or 2 for a big one

And to be honest if you aim for all accessories it take 3 day top to have them all starting from nothing.

Like finasel said usually you get normal comp naturally when doing other thing (either favor, aethersand or maps)
