Also, join pony farms that also drop faded orch copies. See about getting a faded copy per party. If you see coil farms, join those for the orch rolls/allagan and high allagan pieces/crafting mats. Another side income. (A bit grindy but it'll make you 500+k per day doing nothing but completing a dungeon repeatedly).

T13, I think drops the High allagan chest/headpiece (one or the other/shrug), on my server, the body high allagan crafting mat sells for 400k, head 200k, and the faded copy of answers sells for 500k. Do the math xD Join a T13 faded copy farm party, (might take you 30 tries to get 6 faded copies for everyone), but you should have 1-2+ high allagan pieces + the faded copy. 1.4mil in 2-4 hours of grinding. shabloom.

Or was on an alt character and transferred the gil from his/her other character maybe. I have a crafting/gathering character and an older DoW/DoM character, I transfer millions between them from time to time. There are downsides and upsides to having more than one such as for example more storage, more retainers, getting to do the MSQ multiple times instead of stuck with fates, dungeons and leves only. The downsides are having to level a second DoW to unlock those leves and regaining access to all areas and places for the crafting/gathering character too through MSQ even if wanted to be pure DoL/DoH for it plus having to grind MGP on both characters if want the fenrir mount for both or grinding reputation twice for separate characters if want beast tribe mounts for both. Basically some duplication of activities is the downside.

If you have the time / patience, post your stuff and wait a few days. During the week, the prices will fluctuate a bit, so your items will sell. Micromanaging your sales wares is tedious, so let it run its course on the MB.

This. I'm lazy and posting tiny stacks is a pain, so I just dump a couple stacks of whatever I've been farming and let it sit until a rich and lazy crafter decides they need to buy in bulk. Micromanaging and undercutting stuff that isn't selling is really just playing the game of the biggest loser.

I'd rather make 500k+ a sale and be done than sit around and play dumb games with people that don't understand supply and demand.

I make 10-20 mil in sales a day. I craft for probably 5-6 hrs and undercut very often. Some items need to be constantly undercut because more people are trying to sell the item, others can be checked up on twice a day. I have 4 retainers and all of them are filled to max items allowed. I don't sell more than one of each item. You really have to get used to undercutting constantly to make any gains. Selling gear for crafting and gathering classes pre 3 star is a great source of revenue, these items are always in demand. Have fun! \o/

Sometimes it can be fun to bait the people who don't understand supply and demanding into perpetually decreasing their longterm profits by putting one item up for sale and watch them fight over having a lower price. Xd Yeah, I usually prefer to ignore them otherwise though.

No you don't have to get into the undercutting game. I can make gains just fine while selling on a slower basis, taking the time to enjoy other parts of the game as well, and baiting people like you into undercutting me and driving your potential profits lower than they would be otherwise because you're too intent on trying to be the only person making sales that you don't realize you're only hurting yourself. I have max retainers and alt characters, I have more selling slots than I know what to do with and can push prices down indefinitely.

I do that to clear out other sales sometimes. Prices spike back up and there's gil to be made.
