If the concern is that this will be used as an excuse to abuse the feature, if our investigation determines that they did perform their duties in an appropriate manner and were kicked due to unrealistic expectations, then it could be found to be an abuse of the vote dismiss feature. A GM investigation will make the final determination about if the feature was used appropriately.

There should be a "kick yourself" option so that when I'm in a pt full o baddies but don't want the penalty, boom instant self gratification lol.

Kicking myself in lieu of fake dc'ing and waiting ten minutes to hope that they kicked me for being offline and spending another ten minutes queued in df spending a total of 20 minutes relaxing. I could lessen my relax time and kick myself!

I was in huakke manor (normal) and the healer still had lvl 1 gear on. The healer would take a single normal hit and die. Then he would complain that the tank was not doing his job. We ended up Vite abandoning that one.

So, I thought about how healing can be pretty tough in any mmo already, and then I thought how this game also throws in console players or pc players using controllers. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be trying to remember all the button combos needed to perform abilities (my hats off to you folks that do it well). Maybe that struggling player is learning new button combos for abilities, or maybe they actually are a pc player that has no clue how to play his/her class. How can one know unless one takes the time to find out and maybe help that player out?

Controllers in FFXIV are surprisingly well done.

Even if you're using keyboard and mouse you've still got to learn all the controls to perform well, it's just learning a different type of control.

Like this guy I noticed wearing lvl 39-42 gear in dusk vigil. I told him to swap gear and he said, yeah I forgot to, so we pull more and it's still on. Then he says I don't have any other gear... Wasted 15-20 min on first boss, not onl was the gear soo low, but the fact making it look like he was on netflix same time, not bothering with the rotation's at all, somewhat decent, he just wasted peoples time.

I was once in aurum vale and we had a dps get kicked for afking.

Had a Ninja replacement show up in his smallclothes, I had assumed he was glamored to the emperor's new set gear... He wasn't.

He had on accessories and his daggers, that was it.
And, according to him, he didn't have any gear for the class on him, and wasn't near a town to have picked it up...

The power of muscle memory, its beautiful thing, until you get a new keyboard and mouse and then proceed to hate your life. (unless you get the exact same models)

On a plus with a controller even if it breaks and replace you shouldn't have the "Oh damn you muscle memory!" cause the set up is still the same xD
