Can we have option to VK a player because they are below a reasonable skill level?

So this does not turn into a big argument, I will explain the scenario that I encountered. I joined a DF and the healer wiped us, I could see they were struggling so I explained the fight to them and they wiped us again.. I was patient and went for a third try. I explained I do not think we can win with the healer because they are not up to a standard, and asked them if they would leave the duty so another healer could join and we could complete it. They would not take the penalty and the party ended up with vote abandon. We need to have a way to vote kick players who are unbearably bad. I am not asking for people to be raid level competent, but when a healer can't keep a competent tank alive in a levelling dungeon after 3 tries... why should the whole party have to lose the time and effort of that dungeon. It is obvious the healer had just done fates and joined a dungeon they could not cope with.

Though I would love this. I would say it is something that excludes people from doing content since what defines "reasonable skill level". People will use it to troll, and vote kick anyone they don't like since they are below their concept of reasonable skill.

I like it, but unfortunately can't see how it won't either make people bad, or end up abused.

Perhaps it can be an option that is greyed out until 3 wipes on a dungeon.

if the game allows them to be there, then they are allowed wether you or anyone else likes it or not.

yea its frustrating im sure but the issue then is with the company that created the game, not the player.

If the other players want to vote kick you they do so no matter the text on the button - so it might as well be there.

Now if it would show the reason to the kicked player that could be in some cases motivational.

As far as I'm concerned, intentionally holding back the duty to a massive degree (whether due to poor gear or playstyle) to the point where it cannot be feasibly completed, and to where everyone else can see that you're the one at fault, yet you won't do anything about it, is griefing... and as far as I'm concerned, that falls under harassment.

so The Vault, tank geared just about sufficiently for that run, the rest all 230ilvl..the tank can get kicked because well is visible that the tank is not up to paar compared to the others ? ..ohh it shouldnt ? well let me tell you it happens... is that right ? no but ...it falls Under...different playstyle and NOT harrassement

GM's have stated that players can kick for ANY reason. So long as you do not harass the player, it is fine to renove someone you believe is holding the party back.

Though a part of me wishes I was there. I wonder why they struggled. The only dungeon I've seen healers struggle in is The Vault

Uhh, no... one, i230 doesn't even take effect in the Vault, and two, I'm talking massive undergearing to the point your party cannot even progress. Like, you have to literally try to be that bad.

If you, as a tank, come into the Vault dressed in your item level 50 AF gear (or worse)... yeah, I'm calling that griefing and harassment because you queued up solely to waste the time of 3 other people in the DF. There is *no* excuse for that sort of thing and you shouldn't be defending it either.

It's difficult to define "reasonable". What is reasonable for someone might be being able to speed run through a dungeon, while for another person reasonable might be simply being able to clear it.
If such an option were to exist, it would be abused terribly.

I can understand the frustration of not being able to finish a dungeon because one player is not pulling their own weight or geared appropriately, but to play devil's advocate, why is it that the healer should be the one to leave so you can finish the dungeon? I understand they were not skilled / geared well enough to heal everyone, but why does it mean they should be required to leave? Although selfish, such a person could say "Maybe the other people should leave if they didn't want to be in a party with me / don't like my playstyle."

Did you / someone else in the party give them advice on how to heal and the mechanics of the fights?

I'm not defending the healer in your party, just explaining what someone in their position might think / feel. There are many people who have never played an MMORPG before and struggle to get used to it for a while.
