Crystal Tower dead again?

So, I've been Syrcus Tower queue as a healer going on 5 hours now. I have an alert set up that lets me see queue pops from my phone, so I just let it run out of curiosity.

I'm guessing the majority of oil farming is done, and this content has once again disappeared into dead space.

It's not dead. I did all 3 yesterday and waited no more than 10 minutes for each. Judging by the time you made this post, the vast majority of people in NA were asleep while you queued.

I have had over 50 min waits last week and tried again this week. Sooo i am skipping it all together

My peak wait has been 15 minutes. I think it completely depends on what time of day you are doing it.

Assuming your time of posting, did you queue up 5 hours ago? Since you're on a server in a NA datacenter, that'd mean you queued up between 3am and 8am EDT (or 12:00am and 5am PDT), a time window in which less players are online.
It's not really surprising that you're not getting a full alliance for a raid like that, during that time window.
Another factor is that the oil is from a weekly quest, and you're queueing on the very last day of the week, meaning a lot of players have already gotten their weekly clears.

You should try running Crystal Tower on tuesdays (after the weekly reset) or generally just around NA peak times, instead of at night.

Adding on to this. Something else that I've heard is going on is the Crystal Tower Sunday. Where people try to queue in on that day to get stuff done and as a result queue times are much shorter. I've tested to see this multiple times and it has worked for me at least. I'd recommend giving it a try.

As for me OP I get my Aether Oils on Tuesdays, in fact its the first thing I do to get it over with.

You can also purchase the oil with tomes, i had done so for my blm Relic, may actually be quicker for some since wait times for Ct/St/Wod can be long

It seems that the later you wait to queue the longer it takes, naturally. If you can, try to queue up on a day when you can queue up much earlier. Honestly, it should not be taking that long. Everyone is redoing it now for the aether oils.
