Crash when transferring from launcher to game

    Hey guys,

Not entirely sure what's going on here, but over the weekend, I had a Windows update push and a driver push from AMD. Never had any issues yesterday immediately after doing both updates, and again didn't have any today. Attempted to launch tonight (PC hadn't even restarted), and now running in to issues.

I downgraded the drivers, and the error now persists. Have restarted numerous times. Attempted to "reset settings" inside the FFXIV launcher, tried DX9 and DX11 (I usually use DX11).

Confirmed no malware or virus infections.

Can further confirm that other games work using both DirectX 9 and DirectX 11. I just played an hour long match on Battlefield 4, and ran around on World of Warcraft with no issues at all.

As for even weirder stuff, I found this suggested in a post back in 2014 when someone couldn't get their Steam version working. Basically, launch some OTHER game that uses DirectX (for me, I chose WoW), and then try to load the launcher and the click Play. FFXIV loads at this point in time, and works fine. I can safely close the other game, and everything works. Closing FFXIV and re-opening does not present the error. It appears there is something NOT being initialized correctly when the transfer happens from the launcher process to the game process.

    Basic System Information:
    Windows 10 Home x64
    i5 3570k (stock clocks)
Radeon R7 360 (Driver 16.3.2 reverted from 16.5.2, which did technically work)
