Proper way to use Raw Intuition?

Hello everyone. This has probably already been covered and I just haven't seen the thread for it. I'm a returning player after being off for 7 months and I remember a weird time when I pulled 8 enemies and popped raw intuition and made sure that all the enemies were right in front of me and I was completely straight facing them and I got crit'ed because I had so many on me(8) that the mobs just slightly brimmed over to my sides slightly and capitalized on raw intuition's downside. My question is should I not be pulling that many with raw intuition's downside or should I be popping another cd with it? Thanks for any help and support

Awareness negates Raw Intuition's downside. Also, the "proper" way to use Raw Intuition is to build a stack for 3x Fell Cleave. Accept no other answers.

Thank you fm fenrir. When you say build a stack for 3x fell cleave you mean being able to use fell cleave 3x in a rotation of some sort?

Raw Intuition gives a stack of wrath/abandon when you use it, so you'd use it to help get back to 5 stacks during a Berserk window. You'd use it something like this:

(have 5 stacks already) -> Berserk -> Fell Cleave -> Infuriate -> Fell Cleave -> Raw Intuition (one stack) -> Vengeance (one stack) -> butcher's block combo (two stacks) -> butcher's block combo (two stacks, interrupt with third Fell Cleave) -> scream at healer to remove pacification with 50 line macro

There's actually a reddit post that goes into great detail about how it's a raid wide dps loss to cleanse pacification off a war, unless you have a brd who literally has no other oGCD to use than warden's paean.

It quite depends on how you interact with the healers who are going to cleanse it. Cleanse technically is a very short cast. If the assigned healer knows exactly when to cleanse pacification right as it hits, you are technically trading up a very small dps (just 1sec cast) for ~2 GCDs from the WAR. This is if let's say SCH is the one cleansing it and he/she already has all DoTs up, at most you are sacrificing a Broil for 2 GCDs from WAR (typically 300pot++ for sure). This however works best if you have synergy. If not, then it's basically a DPS loss because healer probably cleanses pacification off when it's already about to end or something.

The thing is that every cast less than a GCD still takes a GCDs active time. If somehow pacify timed out neatly to when the healer needed to move, too urgently for a full cast but not so urgently as to need a instant, then that 1 second cast might matter.
The worst part is that the cleanse can't be queued in any way (apart from Warden's Paeon). It takes about a second for the game to realize that pacify is up and cleansable, and another second for the cleanse to take effect. At best, you save just over a GCD for the WAR. Unless he's holding onto a combo that would otherwise fade, it's not especially worth it unless that WAR significantly outgears you, absolutely needs those GCDs (for Wrath stacks), etc.

tldr; The best Berserk macros are used to bug the Bard, not the healers.
