    Well, I remember sometime earlier this year they brought up the idea of something along the lines of grand company mercenaries you could hire that I think they said they were going to try and implement somewhere in the 3.X life cycle. (someone correct me if i'm wrong on this) I'd hope they could add the magitek armor as part of that.

    That's coming in 3.3 with the new grand company ranks.

    I believe their priority is GC mercenaries > companion (chocobo) able to enter dungeons > maybe additional companions after the aforementioned system is up.
