Stone, Sea, Sky effectiveness

This may have been asked and answered, idk.

But how exactly effective is using stone sea sky?

I was recently in a thordan clear/farm party on my alt on brd. She is i220 and melded but I was kicked for "sub par dps". Yet I was #4-5 on the hate list (I know that doesn't mean anything) and ahead of other dps and in SSS I can down the thordan dummy with nearly a full minute remaining. I feel I know my rotations quite well and I know the fights extremely well.

I am at taking down the dummies on other/newer content as well. So how effective is SSS really?

Or are people just getting that fickle?

If you had a parser, you could defend yourself or at least figure out where your dps went. The antiparser crowd will be here momentarily.

Personally I love sss. Skill resets and it was kind of a challenge. It really helped me recognize patterns for dots and how much room you have to juggle all of them as an sch. Great place for picking back up an alt.

I'm not anti-parser by any means, I just don't like 3rd pt anything. I was one of the few who didn't even windower XI lol But I also like to know my rotations and play my jobs at high efficiency, which I feel I do.

I have ran with ppl who parse and they never mention anything to me. We do have a pf/df crowd here on Sarg who I will just say are "something special" and leave it at that. You know the type. The only problem is they seem to always get into farm pts and make life miserable for everyone else.

And right now we are in such a GIGANTIC lull that it takes hours sometimes to get 8 ppl for a pt. This is by far the worst between-patch lulls I have seen yet. And its a lot of these special people who are remaining making it difficult not to have at least one in your run. But I wanted to be sure about SSS.

I'm not saying you had low DPS, what probably happened was:

Party Leader is parsing.
Party Leader decides you are doing less damage than everyone else, if only marginally.
Party Leader decides he's Alpha as fawk and that you need kicked for it. (Especially if you were clearing the content)
You are Dismissed.

What would happen if you and Everyone else could parse as well:
Party Leader is parsing.
Party Leader decides you are doing less damage than everyone else, if only marginally.
Party Leader decides he's Alpha as fawk and that you need kicked for it. (Especially if you were clearing the content)
A few Party Members realize that your DPS was within a reasonable standard and that the Party leader is being an asshat.
Reform without the party leader or continue together.


I am almost never worried about DPS in a farm group. Give me people that can mechanic and do low dps (As long s they can beat enrage) over DPS that wipe the raid every other pull.

Wow. With nearly a full minute on SSS for Thordan EX you are pumping out enough damage to down A8S SSS.

That is pretty impressive @i220. Sounds strange that you were kicked out of a party with god like DPS.

SSS primarily shows you one thing: Do you need to learn your job or can you start learning the fight?

Honestly? I'd say whoever kicked you was just awkward.
