    How about Cloth Physicks?

What do you guys think about Cloth Physics.
    Since i am not sure,
would there be any technical problem implementing it?

As far as i know, if it was possible to improve dx9 > dx11, there shoudnt be too much problem with Cloth.

Until there is, if you feel like using hard language, do it, i would really like to know how much time/effort would it costs to add such a thing to 4.0 or 4.X.

I don't think the limitation is so much about dev resources as that your computer would have a melt down trying to calculate physics on 50 on screen characters when you walked into idylshire.

PSO2 is an older game that has cloth and hair physics that surpass FFXIV's. Online lobbies holds crowds of players without melting PCs. I wonder if the dev team can make it an option at the very least after they drop PS3 support.

There are limited physics in game already. Certain pieces will move in the wind and such. But its very small-scale probably due to the hardware requirements of calculating physics on so many on-screen characters AND NPCs.

Those are pre-made animations rather than simulated physics, the game is just very smart about how it uses them.

Well, in lieu of physics, some additional clever animations for handling wide sleeves when you raise your arms would help, too.

They could theoretically do this, but it would involve having additional bones on robes that drape when the arm is raised. I don't know how they typically handle armor changes in relation to the character skeleton, but adding/ subtracting bones, and as such redoing all animations for specific clothing items is probably not something anyone wants to do.

They would first had to specify Z vector for bones, which currently probably does not exist, since i noticed only X and Y cloth movement. And only one at a time, but i may be wrong.

I would love it if SE would add physics to some of the long/hanging type sleeves we have. I avoid glamour like the robe you are using because the pointy sleeves drive me crazy.
