since I dont know where to find the answer to this questition or where to ask specifically I figured I'd try here - bare with me if this isnt the right place, please!

So, the current situation is: A friend of mine deleted their account in a... lets say not very clear state of mind, but probably would like to come back (still talking to them about that matter).
Before telling them to "contact someone, maybe?" I wanted to ask if a recovery of an account is possible and would be done at all and if so under which conditions (aka: would it only possible during a limited amount of time?)?
