As much as i love the idea of summoning the primals as super attacks, i have a horrible feeling they will end up being monopolized by a few big shells, not letting many other people get a chance to ever see them.

The only way that will happen if they are in a " PvP area" or else anyone can get them without there being any setbacks. and I don't you can hold more than 1 Summoning Token at a time. ( Since their power is 1- hit kill). *Once your Summoning Token has been used up, You have to go and fight the summon again *That makes me think, you can only hold 1 per Free Company.*
To me it sounded like 1 summoning token per primal per world, so some big Free Company can get the token and hold onto it and never use it, and no one will have a chance to have them. I hope that isn't how it is, just how I interpreted the statement...

yah its the one per world thing, which means those few big shells will hold over them, learn where they pop and get them asap. If it was one per shell/FC then it would be a non issue. Love the idea, but i just cant help but think it will be taken over.
I read it as there only being 1 of each primal summoned at a time. Meaning you could have 3 Primals in the world summoned at a time, but they couldn't be the same primal. I think we can rest assured that we will only be able to get 1 token at all for a time period and it will likely be the free company leader/officers that can purchase it. That way any given free company would only have access to 1 primal token per x hours. It'd probably disintegrate after 24hrs of not being used as well to prevent any holdings. And with five confirmed Primal battles (possibly 6, the interviewer seemed to think Batraal was a primal and they didn't correct him) I think the only issue would be getting the one you want for a particular raid rather than getting one at all.
Nah its actually going to create a downward spiraling effect on prices, they would have been better off giving just the average price based on invisable history data.
Hopefully Yoshi-p will quickly realise this and alter the system before its too late, they really shouldn't be trying to copy an AH system that is 9 years old when there are much better ones out there in other games.
New interview here or here (it's the same), not translated.
These sites are not dedicated to FFXIV, so the questions may seem a bit general. I'll just summarize some points :
New maps : each region will have a least 4 areas, about 2km x 2km each.
The new interface for gamepad will allow to use up to 128 commands with shortcuts and may look surprising (they've showed only the new interface for mouse/keyboard because they wanted to assure players they're focusing on it)
Long term projects : jump, swim, transformation in dragon.

^ im sorry but if it means players turing into dragons....well that sounds kind of stupid.
Bethesda seems to be making a whole game around the concept.
I'd imagine they will make it so you have to use it within a certain amount of time before they return to their domains and someone else can get.
