Change English (EU) language setting to show dates in the DD-MM-YYYY format

Currently, the English EU setting on the forums displays dates as MM-DD-YYYY, same as the English NA setting, even though no European country uses that order as standard. My request is that the date format for English EU is changed to show as DD-MM-YYYY or at least a format in the same order, or alternatively add a personal setting for date format.

The German and French settings already show dates in the DD.MM.YYYY and DD/MM/YYYY formats respectively. Different separators, but in the desired order.

There has already been a couple of threads on this, but I'm uncertain of replying to two and three year old threads.

a few years old... how is this still an issue??? i have a Ceremony invitation displayed for the 7/8/2023, and it's due for, if i understand correctly, 8th July 2023 which should be displayed as 8/7/2023 in Europe, or at least to characters in the european datacenters

also... this issue can be avoided completely if something like Jul/8/2023 is used orwhatever, but 8/7/2023 is just asking for confusion

While the customary US way of writing dates is backwards and wrong in almost every concievable way, why request another non-standard format as replacement?
There does exist an international standard (ISO 8601) for writing dates, which avoids most of the confusing cases. It should be used for dates everywhere unless there happens to be a good reason for some other format.
YYYY-MM-DD. So July 8, 2023 would be written as 2023-07-08.

Second on ISO 8601 as a date format.

However, FFXIV screenshot file name are already in MDY format.

I agree with this. I hate that my country seems to want to do things their own way and is confusing as all heck. The first time I experienced the "other" way of date formatting, I couldn't figure out why we are so backwards on some things. lol

My first post to the official boards since I first registered since 2014!

+1 on ISO 8601, but customisability would be the best IMO so that the player can choose the option that makes the most sense to them
