Verrrrrrry interesting discussion. For topic's sake, I agree hands down on the war femroe stance change. Visually, femroes are simply the strongest of the female races. Just BUILT that way. As such, always thought the cute, 2-handed approach to the axe stance was too dainty (to say absolutely nothing of the mch one....) for a femroe. The one handed male pose just works better.
Off topic but following some of the posts here, really see the differing views of Femroes. My thoughts? To each his/her own. Am I largely biased toward the more muscular/ curvacious/ MUCH bustier frame of the typical roe female verses say, the more girlish, cute, perky one of the miqo, elegant, graceful one of the elvies, or puberty-be-damned- lalas? Yes. Yes I am.
Lets be honest. FFXIV's 'wildlife' was designed by Japanese artists who, while this may be grossly stereotypical, come from a society where young girls are heavily preferred. This seems reflected by the fact that 3/ the 6 body sizes fall into the small /petite category (well..we'll draw the line right down the middle with highlandr vs midlander ladies) Considering the ratio of Miqo/ Lander types to others (what do you typically see more of?) these might be viewed as what the general audience (wheither JP/NA/ or EU) goes for. As such, going out on a ledge to say this but, it seems to me that those who choose femroe types are looking for something more than (if at all) just cute/ purely feminine....typical. Something a little more imaginative. (Au RA females COULDVE fit this role well too insteada just being recycled, poor man's miqos.....just saying in response to that cute little comment we won't bring up anymore.)
....and yeah. I have no hangups about admitting Im a shallow, chauvinistic pig who just likes his pillows with extra fluff and bounce. Femroes are known for more than their great strength he he he...
