    Recycling of old armor.

I'm unsure why FFXIV is so adamant on us not recycling our old armor without some degree of work. When you take a look at FFXI, it's known that some of that armor is recycled greatly handing off to dozens upon dozens of players. In FFXIV, you can only sell or trade armor that's at 100%. So if you've used it, unless you repair it or find someone else to repair it, it's no good. How many people are going out of their way to actually repair a pair of gloves to resell them? It would take time and money people don't really feel like spending. Why not have a way to sell the armor that's not at 100% so this way lower level players don't need to level their trades just to get new armor at the start. It's a complete turn off for people to come into a new game and have to make all their own stuff when all they'd like to do is battle and farm to buy stuff. I don't like sitting around for hours farming just so I could level a trade only to find out I need another trade for one item. I want to be able to buy old gear and then focus on getting it repaired myself.

Also, it'd be nice if people weren't allowed to set items at 99999~ and if the item search stopped bringing up items with 0 quantity.

It should be possible to sell a piece of gear even if it's not 100%. Check the Adventuring Guild and there should be two NPCs there. If not, it would be a good suggestion to make used items sellable but at a lower rate. I know for a fact that you cant bazaar items unless they're 100%.

There should be an option to drop or toss and item into a area donation pool and people can just go crasy and lot for it or even bid- hence a public auction!

NOTE: To give the repair option some credit, I alway get exp off repairing my gear over and over instead of having the NPC do it for me which I think deters players from learning craft. Not a good influence to the game in my opinion.

easy fix would be a higher amount of slots allotted on retainers for selling stuff, IDK if they just want to make more money when they start charging on people having a lot of mule accounts, but the slots we have to sell on retainers isn't sufficient, especially if you have a lot of high priced items up that won't sell quickly.

I don't agree with selling armor less than 100%

You said like it's a hassle for the seller to have to repair items before they sell, but what if they don't repair and sell? I, the buyer, will have to struggle and search for the repair myself.

I, for one, go out of my way to repair gear before I sell, just because I prefer to sell to players than to NPC. This is already fair. I wouldn't want to sell a broken gear to a newbie and have them run around the city trying to repair my broken merchandise they've bought.

When I buy myself a new shiny armor, of course I would want it to be 100%. I don't want to buy a half-broken gear only to use it for a little bit then have to repair, or buy a totally broken gear only to find that I can't use it right away because it's broken and the penalty is making me get less stats than I should. No thanks.

It is now easy enough to repair gear. They have improved it a lot.
    - No more need of recipe-specific material to repair, we now have Dark Matters.
    - You no longer have to scroll through your inventory to put the correct repair material into the synthesis box, Dark Matter will automatically be put in the box for you if you're carrying one.
    - You can no longer fail a repair. It is now 100% success rate for the repair.
    - After 1.19, Dark Matters are even cheaper.

And for low level players, what you said was contradicting itself. If we make it so selling gear doesn't require repairing it back to 100%, actually this affect buyers in a bad way like I stated above. For older players, it is easier to repair stuff because we have more resource. Repairing low level gear doesn't take lots. It requires low level crafts and cheap Dark Matter. Older players also tend to have a lot of friends who might have enough craft levels to repair things. When I need to repair stuff I can't repair, I always ask LS friends. What if we can sell broken gear to low level people? The poor beginner will have less resource and means to repair them.
