It depends on how they do it, if they stun you at 75% health or another player is on you as well, generally means you are dead. It can be rewarding but I usually think if that happens they made a mistake in using it.

well if you ask me, healers deserve a different reward base than that of dps/tank jobs, either via titles or mounts/gear etc.

I believe this should be the way it should be but you can start getting into the trouble of making rules on how it is determined you are a healer or otherwise. A good example would a person playing a majority of their games as a healer and then switching to a dps to push themselves higher while still being considered a healer based on games played. Maybe they can require you to lock your role in ranked feast and if you want to change your rating resets? They already sort of have the same system in place in regards to changing Grand Company(15 days can't change again) and having separate pvp ranks for them as well.

True, but it also makes me giddy to squirm away from Holmgang or kite 3+ people who can't put me down. Their hate fuels me and it's even cheaper than Ramen.

I'm doing the climb as healer too. Scholar of all things, and not only to I feel outweighed by the DPS and tanks, but also the other healer roles.
There are matches people have literally told me what a great healer I am, and I'd get my name up there in no time. Then others where it's a complete failure to the unforgivable degree and everyone points to me. I may not be perfect, but many like to forget you can't heal through a wall lol!

I could be just as quick to point fingers, and to the truly mind boggingly poor performances I have, but for the most part I just leave and do it again. I can't say I hate the stress as I am a tank in pve and healer in pvp was the closest equivalent. But it does seem like you have much more on your shoulders than the ole dungeon tanks do. Yet next to none of the carry. I could be having the best match where none of my team leave my healing radius, don't stand behind walls, etc, but unless my dps can make a kill I'm effectively just slowing down the ultimate end of our loss.

Even when the healers are the most skilled in both groups and when both teams seem to somehow have no stopping power, it just racks up culling time until it's too much for one side.

In the end, it's almost ironic to complain that people who can't effectively kill in a killing-oriented game mode should be rewarded somehow, but there really is little appreciation for the healers.

I have a nin friend who always saves his lb for me whenever he is on the enemy team... If I still manage to be winning against him, he saves his lb untill the last 10-5 seconds of the match, lb's the person with the most medals, then wins. ;-;

These are the type of games that when I win, just tells me I should probably stop, mostly because whenever I get that kind of tank (cough dark knight). It just foreshadows what kind of game that will be. 80% of that game was my team getting pounded, so much luck involved ;/

I feel like you're just complaining for no reason now, your dark knight did pretty good considering he was only bronze. Maybe you should stop just complaining at start having some fun. If you were a dps in the other team, you would have complain that your healer was bronze and you couldn't win blah blah blah blah

The other team's dps did do more dps though, and she did much more healing, it looks like she managed to successfully grab a win for her team :P They were lucky. (and that warrior is unusually bad O-o My boyfriend usually does much more dps on his warrior than that. His highest was 191k, he usually does 110k-120k). Wars also have more CC's than Drk, so not only can they do more damage, they can lock people down more.

except it wasn't their healers fault, it was the warriors, we only won because the warrior decided to have 10 stacks of medals near the very end. I am not saying the drk is bad in this game, just that the player being a warrior would've been way better.

I'd also like to point out that mch pretty much blow every other ranged class out of the water in viability. I'm just pointing out a simple fact that as a healer the higher rated you get the more likely you are to get people playing classes that are just flat out underpowered and that you are just likely to lose barring some sort of miracle.

Yeah, if I see a drk and a smn on the other team, it feels like I don't have to heal as much. I prefer facing against mage dps rather than ranged dps as my focalisation actually does something! (blm's sleep is horrible though, and they can output a lot of damage if they use phantom dart and have leylines up)
