I wanted to do that, but I don't have a TV right now. This is the goal though - saving up for one now.

Even so, I play on my MBP (15" Mid 2015) when I'm on the road and had no heat issues so far.
Thank you for all of that information. I have the same MBP as you. Im concerned about the quality - because it does cost money - so I want it to be worth the price. T-T

Since you use the ps4, you could always get a vita and use remote play. I was away from my ps4 for 10 months, so it was the main method of playing ffxiv. Please note that you need a solid connection and when a connection decreases, the screen will get messy. I had to be persistent with it and it paid off lol

You actually don't need a vita anymore as you can remote play through a PC/Mac now.

I find the Vita better to use, although that's just me. It's less demanding than the PC in terms of upload speed (3-5mps vs 12mps) and Windows 10 is mandatory. It's also somewhat buggy. I don't know if it's a design flaw, but having the controller connected via USB and then moving the controller around, even slightly, can cause this. And when the connection drops, it makes a cringworthy stuttering sound before being disconnected.

how did you do stuff like titan ex, SCoB and similar stuff on the Vita? Wasn't there too much lag?

I made the most of it, but it wasn't perfect. Sometimes it lagged inputs, sometimes I got disconnected to be left at the mercy of surrounding monsters or impatient players, and sometimes the connection got weak and turned into a grey, pixelated clusterfuck that blinded me. But it was worth the trouble thb. I was very persistent with it and had gotten more instances of solid gameplay than bad ones. It was either use remoteplay or not play AT ALL for 10 months. I used a mobile hotspot and the connections were very solid during the late nights (past 11pm). As long as the connection runs at 3mb upload speed, it'll be playable. I even managed to play it while I was all the way in England. But don't expect it to be 100% smooth the whole way though.

Things like Macros, Equipment sets, hotbars, (and other things) don't make the transition between PC and PS4 so you'll have to set all of those up again.
