We need an interface window - Glamour Collection - to free up inventory!

I know there's always a rivalry between games like XIV and WoW, however Blizzard has taken enough of FFXIV's good ideas! It is time we took one of theirs. We need an interface that saves the glamour style of each item we've ever collected so we can free up our bags.

I know I'm not the only one who has all methods of storage full of different glamour items. Imagine if you could open up a window, and saved in it is a catalog of every style of armor and weapon you've ever owned. You could click it, and assign that instead of hunting for an item in your bags.

This will free up a ton of inventory. I mean, we all know the true endgame is glamour.

Is it the PS3 causing limitations? I'm curious how such an old game can do it, like WoW, but XIV can't.

Is not server limitations. It is a log, like the music log an that. Hey just don't add it because they want fill slots, this way people need pay more for extra retainers. The same reason they didn't expand inventory. I don't think this features are more than few KB more of data in the server.

DCUO has something like this on ps3 so I don't think its a limitation of ps3 but I agree I love their system. I'd also like the option to change colors of certain parts of gear without changing the whole thing.

Basically character data is backed up every 15 seconds and if they added extra storage space and a glamour catalog it would make backing up that much more data difficult in that time frame and the devs are reluctant to push back the back to every 30 seconds for example. I think retainer data is only accessed and saved when we are using them.

I think one solution would to use something like a retainer as the glamour catalog. It would only be accessible though a summoning bell (or similar access point) and you would cast glamours through this. Using this glamour "retainer", the glamour catalog would not need to be constantly backed up as part of the character data, only when it is accessed.

I don't see the big harm in a way if they would push the save time back a little bit, the servers seem stable enough to not worry about a server crash, least I can't recall one in the time I've played since Closed Beta. Don't get me wrong I have very little knowledge so I could be under thinking the process but it kinda goes into hand of "If it can go wrong, it will". My luck is I would DC or Crash in the process of making that item from expensive mats than actually HQing it then crashing causing it to be gone after. Unless someone can explain it a bit better? If it ment more space I'd be for it.

The dungeon UI on WoW as of Warlords looks almost a carbon copy of how it is on XIV down to the objective list and everything (though XIV could easily have taken influence from something else like GW2 for this, I dunno, I only play XIV and WoW myself) that's honestly the only thing I can really think of, though

It would be nice, sure, but then I'd have nothing to even use my retainer inventories for since there are very few crafting mats that are actually worth saving.

The draenor legendary quest seemed a carbon copy of the 2.0 relic quest, I think. It's been awhile but I heard something like that.
