What's SE doing about the bot problem? There are so many around these day's and in DF it's stupid. I could live stream camp horizon and be like NOTHING BUT BOT'S HERE!

Why do we even care in a certain way I wonder. Just do your rouletes for lores, switch esos for eikon, sell it, free 300-500k per week without trying. Roll everything on roulletes switch junk gear for seals and seals for (ventures, and items such as borax and hardened sap and sell these for another 50-200k per week).

Right now the only use for money is... (Relic stage, teleport, melding and even so you get one rank5 per week materia which is enough for one class, and rank4 ones are really cheap, food, and house).


As for food.. Go for a cheaper build (for instance food with accuracy is cheap for mage classes, so what I do is go for a gear build with low acc for a8s(enough for a7s and rest) and then use the food accuracy to compensate). That together with merching and I'm averaging 2.5k per food and they're as good as 50k foods).


Finnaly.. Other ways to make money is if you have gathering classes sell materials when new expansion with craft gear comes out, and treasure maps (easy to get), when relic quest is expanded. And last.. Merching and crafting.

I don't even understand how the bots are even remotely successful with this game either as from a quick glance at their prices you are getting ripped off insanely for getting next to nothing back.

So the one's buying the gil either have so much money irl they don't care or its new players who are very new to mmo's and think its a good deal / don't know any better.

you forgot, person who's stolen credit/debit card info the bot used calls their bank, issues ID theft complaint, Bank hits SE with chargeback fee, SE loses money.

Or do you think these bots are using their own money to buy all these accounts? :P

the whole system is broken,

I reported 1 bot this morning in Limsa and so far, Had 10 scripted BS replies back about the problem. 10? 10? for one single report? wtf having that crap flash on my screen mid craft, or mid fight is soooo annoying and all for the same report >< wtf

they need to put an algorithm into the game systems

these things do not move, they don't interact, they spiel off the same BS lines over and over, would be very easy to have a system in place to discover these sodding things and nuke them on the spot!

If you ever meet 3 bots on df try this: go afk for 30min and wait for them to carry you(I'm curious if that works). If you meet just one, have your party kick him.

Also one thing I realized at least is bots seem to always stop at lvl 50(probably due to not wanting to buy expansion). I guess that's why most people on endgame don't notice them.

It's not that they wouldn't buy the expansion if could make more money back from it but the truth is the gating/story quests including high level trials and dungeons prevents them from getting their bots into the new content unless they manually played each and every bot through that content. It has stopped them infecting HW content and zones/towns thankfully but ARR zones and towns remain infested unfortunately. The best thing SE can do right now is improve the reporting function/feature. It is too cumbersome and time consuming when it could really be done much better. Select target to report>right click>report>fill in line of text explaining reason for report and if is more than one bot etc. To be honest most of the information in support tickets can be easily auto-completed by the game itself such as selected target character name, time, date, server, your character name etc.

Whenever I do Titan Ex, I tell everyone to stack like the bots do so the pancakes don't get spread all over the place.
