Since I've never received a response from SE, I'm posting this thread to explain why I'm leaving FFXIV. This game has a ton of great features, but the bad ones are intolerable.

1) RNG - How many times must I miss at 95%? In a row?
2) Favors - complete AIDS. should be 100% drop rate. See #1 above
3) Scrip - gating access to end-game gear is stupid. If I want to work hard, I should be able to achieve gear sets.
4) Retainers - the banking system in this game is the worst I've seen in 20 MMOs over the last 10 years.
5) Gold farmers - continual spam, enough said. Provide a filter
6) Savage Raids - content tuned too high. Should be possible to clear with available gear, always.
7) Customer Service - does not exist. No GMs, no phone number, no email, no response.

I'm sure nobody cares. Especially the devs. So thanks for letting me vent. See you never again!

Eh, the first 4 floors was cleared in most 220 gear and it was downded within a month after release. It's either your group or you just not being good enough to do it.

1-3)For the first three points all I've really gathered is you want everything handed to you with the least amount of effort.

4)As for retainers, they aren't the best and its damn annoying we have to pay to have more than 2, I mean granted for the majority 2 is enough but those who dabble in a lot of crafts having at least 3 - 4 free retainers would be very handy.

5)Gold Farmers are a problem in every mmo and honestly at least on the Odin server the RMT issue isn't too bad, you still have the say chatters in the cities and the very rare tell

6)But they have already reduced it once and the gear is available and people do regularly clear it so you've either found seriously bad groups and statics or you've not got 230-240 gear.

7)You've not been looking very hard then for customer support / service, they have several ways to contact and get through to them and I have done so with very little difficulty on several occasions.

But seems like you've made up your mind, so best of luck to you o/

Welcome to the RNG world. That happens in every game with RNG features.

I agree is stupid system. But is not too bad as the previous one wich make you craf stupid expesive items in HQ(ARR, I look at you lumis tools)

They are good, the only thing they need is having more slots. (I hope they fix this soon)

Welcome to the MMO universe. Anyway, in this game is sigly less than others I played before. I got 1 every few days as much.

What? it is possible to down with current ger, but you need work on it. First dows were done in 220 gear. Also it is designed to get 240 items for previous floors that helsp beat next floors. It is good.

They always answer me, I don't see the problem.

1) Thats RNG for you, thats part of any game. In the long run it balances outbut its the misses that you remember.


3) So you would have people grind their ass off in the first 1 or 2 weeks get burned up on the content and then start to complain that thereis nothing more to do and as a result unsub. The cap makes it so you pace yourself. And if you want to get gear quicker there is allways the crafted crafter gear that lets you deck out yourself within a week. Properly melded its even superior to red scrip gear. And for gathering you dont even need the scrip gear to gather the materials.

6) what gear do you mean? You can allways clear raids with gear at hand. Though gear is only one part of the equation a very big part is your rotation and your abitlity to perform it in duty. And the 3rd part is your skill in performing mechanics.
If you want to finish a fight easy then the "hard" primals and normal alexander gordias/midas are for you.

7) I've had to contact customers service twice now for problems with my token to log in, both times problems were solved swiftly. GM i contacted once and it didnt take long for a response.

And to quote another thread i once read, People who are serious play the game or just leave, its the attention seeking winers that come here to say that they are leaving.
And i must aggree with that.

At risk of getting a forum ban like last time I spoke out against GMs, I completely agree with you on point #7. Outside of generic copy and pasted responses, there is nothing. Whether the GMs have a lack of power or are just poor themselves, I do not know. Either way it's not good enough,

Why do you contact a GM its almost allways to file a report about someone and you will never get any status update on the investigation anyway. And quite often people contact a gm for things they cant handle and then they tell you to go on the forum. so i dont know what answer you'd want from a GM?

I think its just the age old philosophy that people think GM's have way more power than they actually posses.
