    Open world content/ 4 man Extreme content

    I love this game, I've never really put it down since beta but I'm really disappointed by the difficulty(or lack there of) dungeons are in this game. I would really like to see something like a 4 man savage or an extreme version, something where you and 3 friends( which would be way easier to coordinate) and you could work at beating instead of day one it dropping, it being ridiculously easy....

    It would also be great if we could actually use the world zones for something other than fates...perhaps an army of monsters attack a settlement in a random zone consisting of powerful hunts and other stuff and the server is warned of the attack, maybe the walls of the settlements have hp or something to that effect and we have to save it for rewards, tomes, whatever, the zones are way to nice to be so useless....

    Just curious if any others would take interest in these types of content. Cheers

    Hamelt defense is the closest thing to this idea but for whatever reason they never brought them back. I'd be all for them and they even involved gatherers and crafters so it was content for everyone.

    If the community reaction to Alex 3 Savage weren't so negative, I think the people running this game would be putting out more difficult content more often.

    We had a few open world content that we were told would stay...or come back, I have yet to see them. Hamlet Defense, Chocobo Caravan, Coffer bosses, Fraction Leves....

    Either way this game direly needs some end game open world content. Does not have to be anything over the top, but at least getting this stuff back would be a start.

    What was chocobo caravan, and coffee bosses?? Sounds interesting. I had no idea about Hamlet Defense, it's a shame it never made it back.

    I had a friend tell me the other day about FFXI having something called Besieged did not explain to well but said it was unique content. Any more info on how that worked??

    Chocobo caravans were basically like escort leves, you had to protect chocobos and you would get GC seals. I think there was more to them but thats what I mostly remember ^^

    Also Pharos Sirius pre-nerf. That dungeon took a decent amount of effort, but was still do able after a handful of tries and a coordinated group. Steps of Faith was another one that many deemed difficult that ultimately got nerfed to the ground, although with that being MSQ related I can see why it was. Its unfortunate as both of these were do able with trial&error and a tid bit of coordination.The challenge made it so much fun tho ;-;

    With the way people are about savage, and what seems to be a general catering to casual with almost every bit of content, it seems unlikely they would do something like a 4 man dungeon savage/extreme....But I'd still love to see it..

    I personally find it sad how they continue to try and leave a path for casual players all the way to current content so everybody can experience it....I didn't play FFXI but I've heard they did not follow this format....wonder about the difficulty of the deep dungeon....

    I wish open world was a thing, but I'd settle (for a while anyway) with 4 people cutting edge content a la Savage. I tend to enjoy low people parties more, and this game lacks (also) in that aspect, considering dungeons are laughably easy. I really have been wondering when they'd start putting 4-man extremely hard content instead of 8-man. Hope they deliver in that aspect very soon, though my expectations aren't too high. Let's see the deep dungeon thingy, but...

    Coffer bosses were special beast tribe mobs that carried keys to chests in the beastman camps. The chests had a chance to drop gear. I remember camping the Ixali boss for Sentinel Guantlets.. Good times.

    I miss camping NMs for their loot too. ; ;

    Never thought I'd miss Hamlet and Chocobo Porter..
