I think people Bot because they can, i haven't heard of any bans or jail time for botting/suppected botting, compire that to XI where the STF makes a point of telling you how many people they've banned in the update notes. could be SE can't afford to lose the players atm which is understandable. remember though SE records everything and they know who's botting and who's not, i foresee mass banning simular to that of XI when ppl thought the'd got away with botting.

It's funny how probably right on the dot you are on this. S-E overall feels like a very deceptive company; this "open with the community" thing in itself, only really a product of losing unreasonable amounts of money. There are numerous other games that were completely ridiculous in terms of how pointless and shoddy they were, and the company still held nothing back banning bots and such.

ive witnessed a few people(one in my old shell) who got banned over it already

the problem is at this point they arent getting people as fast as some want them to
