Thread: Retainers and 1.0 gear

I read on a reddit post that it was possible for a retainer to occasionally bring back items from 1.0. Is there any truth to this, can anyone confirm? I ask because there is a top I've been wanting that some random miqo'te NPC is wearing in Aleport for as long as I can remember. It'd be nice to have some hope of obtaining it someday.

It's the top that Tataru Taru wears but not pink. No sleeves, no chainmail sleeves, no breastplate. 1 solid color, I'm assuming dyable. It's a real bummer that it's not available and that other old items aren't available. They'd make for such cute glamours.

That's so disappointing. Wasted opportunity to throw in gear that's already made.

Well they didn't throw away the model, they just changed it slightly and put it in the game in different versions.
I still have two Jerkins from 1.0 that I love because of their colors on the non-dyeable parts. The Jerkin model isn't gone either, but I don't like the direction they took with the coloring.

Yes I have the Doctore's robe, the Storm Tabard, and several others, they just lack the elegant simplicity.

Hm..what about the Hempen Tunic? I know the gear model is different, but it's also sleeveless and very simplistic.

Yeah it looks bad on a highlander haha
