Not really viable, as you either need millions of gil to join in (if the DoL tokens even exist on the market), or have also leveled to end-game gathering.

The wall built by red scrips in the name of "end game crafting" was supposed to bridge the gap between those without gil and those with it, but it really just drove away those without. Whether or not you think that's a good thing is a matter of opinion; I don't think a wall should be so onerous that it just causes people to give up playing a video game.

I do believe that if you've made the gear investment with ALC by this point, though, you should be able to macro d-and max-pots with guaranteed hq yields. For items like potions, I don't mind seeing those being macro-able because crafting stacks of something that is needed in stacks should be a mindless endeavor after a certain investment.
