How do I go about melding?

So I just finished getting the entire chimerical crafting set along with the accessories and now it's time for me to start melding. I've never melded a full set of crafting gear before, how would I go about doing this?

Umm .. Get crafting Materia, get Carbonized Matter of sufficient grade for those Materia, and start melding?

Play around there. You'll find the stat caps, and can figure out how you want to meld your stuff. Then again, you may prefer to wait for 3.3 to hit, to see if you can get some good deals on the crafting gear that is coming then ...

Seconded for Roth (I can't find a single topic where I would disagree... frustrating)

Also since you come in late
Farming all the script and all the mats to make 2* stuff and meld it is pointless now since they will be obsolete in two weeks

What i would recommend is to aim for a cheap meld to reach 2* craft on every class
And more or less 400 CP

If you have the will farm a bit for the belt, the accessories and off hand
(In that order)

And try to find contact in high end Crafter
Some can be Nice enough to help you gear by crafting your piece if you get comp
(Well i do it for other in my case)
